Your AI agent can take the screenshots.
ScreenArt Pro runs as an MCP server on your PC. Ask Claude, Codex or another agent for the screenshots a help article needs, and it uses ScreenArt Pro to find the window, read its labels, and save a cropped, annotated screenshot of each step. The pointer moves on your screen while it works.
A help-centre guide, start to finish
“Screenshot every step of the SSO setup for our help centre.” The agent lists your windows and picks the admin console, reads the screen to learn the exact labels, then plans one screenshot per step. ScreenArt Pro clicks through Settings and Security ahead of each shot, crops to the panel that matters, draws the arrow, writes the caption, applies your brand kit, and saves 01-open-settings.png, 02-choose-sso.png and so on into the folder you named, with a manifest of what it did.
A forty-step guide is the same request. Secrets on screen are covered automatically. If one shot cropped to the wrong panel, the agent redoes that step. When the UI changes, run the same plan again and the whole set is current.
Walkthrough videos work the same way: a script of clicks, typing and key presses that ScreenArt Pro performs with the real pointer, zooming to each target and captioning as it goes, then exports as MP4, WebM or GIF.
Twenty-five tools, six jobs
The catalog as the server exposes it. Every tool returns text; the only pixels that leave the app are the files it writes.
Read the screenlist_windows · describe_screen · find · app_status
Every open window with its bounds and scale; the text on a window with its position, secrets masked; a check that a label exists before anything points at it. The agent gets text and coordinates, not pixels.
Take one screenshotcapture_screenshot · capture_window · capture_area
A finished PNG: cropped to a named element, secrets redacted by default, arrows, boxes, highlights, counters, captions and blurs placed by the label they point at, a brand kit applied, an editable project saved beside it.
Take a numbered setcapture_sequence · sequence_status · recapture · resume_sequence · cancel_sequence
A plan of captures into one folder with a manifest written after every step. Long runs go in the background; one step can be reshot without the rest; a stopped run resumes where it was.
Record a demorecord_video · perform
ScreenArt Pro drives the pointer through a script of clicks, typing and keys on the live app, zooms to each target, sketches a circle or arrow where the pointer lands, adds a lower third, and exports MP4, GIF or WebM. Perform runs the same steps without recording, to set a screen up or put it back.
Replay a walkthroughlist_walkthroughs · get_walkthrough · edit_walkthrough · run_walkthrough
You rehearse a task once in the app; it becomes steps the agent can read, fix a renamed label in, and replay as a clean recording at the pace you choose.
Design the looklist_brand_kits · list_intro_styles · get_intro_style_guide · preview_intro_style · save_intro_style
Brand kits by name. Intro styles as JSON the agent can write from the guide, preview as a contact sheet, and save straight into the video editor’s gallery.
Targets are the labels you can see
A plan reads like instructions to a colleague, because targets are the labels you can see. This is the two-step version of the SSO guide above.

}You approve each session; Esc stops it
Off until you turn it on
Automation is a switch in Settings. Each agent session asks once; big runs and anything that moves the mouse ask again.
Esc stops everything
Press Esc or move the mouse during a run and ScreenArt Pro stops and waits for you. The agent has to ask before resuming.
Only the apps you named
Agents target windows by title. They cannot type secrets, press the Windows key, or open something you did not point at.
Runs on your PC
The server runs inside the app. Files land in a folder you chose. Nothing is uploaded.
Two steps
Switch on Automation in ScreenArt Pro’s Settings, then add ScreenArt Pro as an MCP server in Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Codex or any other MCP client. After that, "take a screenshot of the export dialog" is a sentence you can type to your agent.
