ScreenArt Pro works on your PC. Your screenshots, recordings, recognised text and edits never leave it unless you send them somewhere yourself.

What stays on your PC

Capture, editing, text recognition (OCR), Smart Redact, screen and microphone recording, webcam overlay, captions and exports all run locally. ScreenArt Pro has no account system, no analytics and no advertising, and it does not upload your captures. Diagnostic logs are written to a folder on your PC and are only shared if you choose to send them to us.

When the app uses the internet

• Licence checks. When you activate, and about every 12 hours while the app runs, it sends your licence key, the name of your PC and a one-way hash of your Windows machine ID to Polar's licence service. This ties the key to up to three PCs and confirms it is still active. Nothing about your screen content is sent.
• Model downloads. The first time you generate captions or use AI upscaling, the app downloads the open-source model files it needs from Hugging Face or GitHub. Those requests carry only what any download does (such as your IP address).
• Updates. Copies installed from screenartpro.com check download.screenartpro.com for new versions. Microsoft Store copies are updated by the Store.
• Automation. If you allow an AI assistant to control ScreenArt Pro, it connects on your PC. What that assistant does with what it captures is governed by that assistant's own policy.

Buying a licence

Purchases are handled by Polar (polar.sh), the merchant of record, with Stripe processing payments. Polar collects your email address, billing country and payment details to sell you the licence, charge VAT and send your receipt and key. We see your email address, your order and your licence key, never your full card details. Polar's own privacy policy applies to the checkout.

This website

screenartpro.com is a static site served by Cloudflare. It sets no tracking cookies and runs no analytics. Cloudflare processes standard request data (such as IP addresses) to deliver and protect the site.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you (your email, orders and licence keys), ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how it is used, as the GDPR allows. Manage your licence and invoices inyour account, or emailsupport@screenartpro.com. We keep order records as long as tax law requires.
