Screenshots with the secrets already covered.
Smart Redact looks for emails, API keys, card numbers and the like in a screenshot or recording and covers each one with a block in the surrounding colour. Detection runs on your PC.

3 matches covered before sharing
What it looks for
Email addresses
Including the ones in a ticket’s CC line.
API keys and tokens
Live keys, bearer tokens and JWTs in logs, dashboards, config files and terminal output.
Card numbers and IBANs
Payment details in billing pages, spreadsheets and support tools.
Phone numbers and IP addresses
Contact fields, call logs, server lists and request headers.
Credential URLs and secrets
Connection strings with a password in them, signing secrets, and values the UI around them labels as secret.
Colour sampled from around the match
A black bar draws the eye. Smart Redact samples the colour around each match and paints the cover in that colour, flat or as a gradient, so it reads as part of the surface.
If you want the cover to be visible, switch a match to Blur, Pixelate or Secure. Secure flattens the pixels underneath so the text cannot be recovered from the export, and the app says so before you share.
Pasted image layers are read too, so a screenshot inside your screenshot is covered in its own colours.
Covered for every frame it is on screen
Run Smart Redact on a recording and each match stays covered for the seconds it is visible, in the preview and in the export. A customer’s details that scroll past at minute three are covered for those seconds.
Every match listed, every cover yours to change
Matches are grouped by type with a count. Switch a cover off if it caught something harmless, draw a cover by hand over anything it missed, and compare with the original capture at any point before export.
Text recognition uses Windows’ built-in OCR on your machine. The screen is never uploaded to be read.
